Things You Should Know … Little Bunny Foo Foo

Little Bunny Foo Foo, hopping through the forest. Scooping up the field mice, and bopping them on their head! Then down came the good fairy, and she said, “Little Bunny Foo Foo, I don’t want to see you scooping up the field mice and bopping them on their head! I’ll give you three more chances to be good!” But the very next day … Nursery Rhyme Brutality

When I was probably 10 or 11 years old, for some random reason, my friends and I got a kick out of singing this song on the bus on the way to school. Complete with the hand gestures and everything. I remember someone telling me that it really annoyed them, so I made a point to sing it the whole bus ride. Over and over and over again.

As an adult, I want to kick 10-year-old-me’s ass for doing that. Right after I make myself apologize to everyone else that rode that bus with me.

The more I think about it, I seem to remember singing it in high school as well. With hand gestures, because it is never complete without the bunny doing the scooping motion. Maybe I should go on Facebook and publicly apologize for it.

Things you should know about me if we’re going to be BFFs? I know the lyrics to Little Bunny Foo Foo. I promise NOT to sing it to you on repeat. EVER.

Also? I laughed so hard when I saw this graphic that I was in tears. Real tears. Not just the figurative ones that everyone talks about when they say they laughed so hard they cried. I was actually crying.
