The Love & Sex Series – Journal Prompt #4 – Your fantasies

This week, with Valentine’s Day just a day away, we are digging in with a journal prompt series talking about Love & Sex.

What do you fantasize about?

What I particularly love about fantasies is that they are usually wholly selfish. The time we spend wandering around in sexy daydreams is time entirely dedicated to the pursuit of our own pleasure.  They focus on the things we want to feel, experience or see. Our fantasies can also often tell us so much about what we’d really like in our love and sex relationships. Experiences we’re curious about are sometimes guideposts to what we should be asking for from our partners.  Our fantasy life should be a place filled with acceptance, self love and hopefully, lots of orgasms.

Prompt: Make an exhaustive list of your fantasies. These can be romantic, or sexual or both. List them all. Ignore any voices in your head that want you to feel shameful or wrong for your desires. This list is only for you. You don’t have to share it with anyone, ever. Explore your desires and how they make you feel. Have fun!

In the creation of this prompt, the fun of working with my best friend came to light, again. I was trying to come up with a way to properly word the title, and blurted out – “Sex Bucket List! Sex Bucket!” Cue us giggling hysterically. Because even when you’re a grown up, sex jokes are funny.

Want even MORE journal prompts? Be sure to check out our Life + Business Coaching, and our new Solo Adventure Program. (Psst… use code “inspireme” to get $30 off the Solo Adventure if you sign up by February 15th!) All three coaching options are designed to help you dig in and rediscover your voice. We would love to help you on your journey!

I’m the sort of girl who you meet for coffee and end up pouring your entire heart out to. The friend you come to when you need someone to call it straight. No bullshit. No extras. Just truth.

I’m a communicator. That’s a PC way of saying I like to talk, but I also spend a lot of my time listening, and over the years, I’ve developed a sense for subtext – how one or two words can change your entire message, what people are really trying to say and how to weave the varied layers of your story into one cohesive brand message that your clients fall in love with.

When I'm not acting as editor in chief for Vivid & Brave, you can find me geeking out over words here.
